Robertson County Released Inmates Explained
Robertson County is a host-jail jurisdiction. The county lists an elected jailer, but official Bourbon County sources identify Bourbon County Regional Jail in Paris as the operating regional detention center used for adult custody. A search based on a generic “Robertson County Jail” directory can therefore point to the courthouse area instead of the facility that booked and processed the person.
“Released” must be read in context. It can mean a community exit on bond, recognizance, time served, dismissal, probation, shock probation, parole, mandatory reentry supervision, or sentence expiration. It can also be an administrative release to KDOC, another county jail, USMS, or ICE. The last group remains in custody. The BCRJ record documents the physical exit, while the Robertson court file explains the authority in a county case.
Robertson County Release Types
The exact release code matters. “Bonded out” generally ends jail custody while the case continues. “Time served” concerns sentence credit or the sentence imposed, not the merits of the charge. Parole and mandatory reentry supervision place a person in the community under continuing control. A transfer ends BCRJ responsibility but not custody.
| Release type | What it means | Next record |
|---|---|---|
| Bond or pretrial release | Custody ends under court terms; the case may remain open. | Robertson docket and BCRJ release portion |
| Dismissal or acquittal | A court disposition ends the stated charge or case as ordered. | Court order and jail exit record |
| Time served or expiration | The stated term has been credited or completed. | Sentence record and processed-out time |
| Probation or shock probation | Community status under a court order. | Court order, KOOL, and District 14 |
| Parole or reentry supervision | Secure custody ends while state supervision continues. | KOOL, VINE, Parole Board, District 14 |
| Transfer | Another agency or facility receives the person. | Destination field, transport file, receiving system |
Robertson County Release Record Fields
A sound release record answers identity, physical event, legal reason, and destination. Names alone are unsafe. Match the booking or offender number and another identifier when lawfully shown. Dates must also keep their labels: a court-order date, processed-out time, parole eligibility date, projected expiration, and supervision end date are different events.
| Field | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Full name and identifier | The person and booking or state record involved |
| Admission and release time | The span of physical custody at that facility |
| Release or disposition code | The stated reason facility custody ended |
| Releasing authority | The court, sentence event, or agency action |
| Destination or receiving agency | Community exit, supervision, or continued custody |
| Booking photograph | An identity aid, not proof of release |
Kentucky’s county-jailer schedule says the cumulative inmate record may contain admission and release data, photographs, court material, a body receipt, property slip, and other documents. Series L2751 lasts five years after release. Retention does not guarantee disclosure of every part; exemptions and redactions may apply.
Request Robertson County Release Records
Send the operational request to the facility that held the person. For the authority behind a local release, request the relevant Robertson Circuit Court file. No BCRJ-specific release form, fixed fee, or promised turnaround was found, so confirm the current custodian and submission method before sending personal details.
- Identify the person, booking date, and approximate release range.
- Ask BCRJ for the booking sheet and release portion of the inmate file.
- Specify processed-out date and time, release code, authority, and destination.
- Request the matching bond, release, dismissal, sentence, probation, or revocation order from the court clerk.
- Compare the response with VINE, KOOL, or Daily Releases when those systems apply.

A narrow request helps the custodian locate the record. For an expunged case, use the court order and work with each official custodian. Expungement can change official access, but it should not be assumed from a missing online result.
Robertson County Release Record Law
Kentucky Open Records Act rules appear in KRS Chapter 61. KRS 61.872 addresses resident access and request methods. A custodian may redact or withhold material under an applicable exemption, including protected juvenile, medical, security, investigative, or sealed information.
Kentucky’s retention schedule is an archive rule, not an automatic publication rule. The inmate file can remain after the public current roster drops the name. Court expungement statutes in KRS Chapter 431 provide distinct routes for qualifying dispositions and offenses. The correct effect depends on the entered order and the custodian receiving it.
Robertson Court and Jail Proof
Robertson’s criminal case stays with the Robertson Circuit Court Clerk even when BCRJ holds the person in Bourbon County. This split creates the county’s most useful two-record method. The court order answers why release was authorized. The BCRJ file answers when the person physically left and where the person went.
Kentucky court forms include AOC-385, “Release from Custody.” A file may also contain a bond order, dismissal, judgment and sentence, probation order, shock-probation order, or revocation order. Request the actual document relevant to the claimed event instead of relying only on a docket shorthand.
Robertson County Pretrial Release
Kentucky Pretrial Services serves all counties around the clock. Release paths can include recognizance, unsecured, surety, cash, property, or partially secured arrangements under the controlling decision. Robertson’s court page says bond paid at the clerk requires cash.
A pretrial exit is not sentence completion. The person may be out of jail while the Robertson case remains pending. Check the bond or release order for the legal basis and the jail file for the processed-out event.
Find Robertson County Released Inmates
Begin by identifying the legal system. An adult Robertson arrest points first to BCRJ. A state sentence belongs in KDOC systems. Federal sentenced custody belongs in BOP, federal pretrial custody may involve USMS, and immigration custody belongs in ICE records. Absence from one system proves nothing about another.
- Search BCRJ’s current portal to test present local custody.
- Search Kentucky VINE for the person and inspect all matching local and KDOC records.
- For state custody, match identity and KDOC number in KOOL, then check dated Daily Releases.
- Read the Robertson court docket and the actual release or disposition order.
- Request BCRJ’s processed-out record, code, and destination.
- Check District 14, parole records, or the probation order when supervision may continue.
- Use BOP, the federal docket, USMS, or ICE only when the facts point there.
KDOC Search for Robertson Releases
Kentucky Online Offender Lookup, or KOOL, covers people committed to KDOC, including some state inmates housed in county jails. It is not a complete archive of every short BCRJ booking. Search broadly by name or state identifier, then match age or birth data, photograph, KDOC number, conviction county, offenses, and sentence before trusting a result.
| KOOL search field | How it helps |
|---|---|
| Name or alias | Starts a broad identity search |
| DOC or PID number | Separates people with similar names |
| Status | Distinguishes incarcerated, supervised, inactive, or absconded records |
| Location and supervision county | Shows the institution or field-supervision context |
| Projected date range | Finds records by the interface’s projected-release fields |
| Offense and conviction data | Helps match the correct case |
Read the exact label. Parole eligibility is not a release appointment, and a future projected date may change. KOOL says updates are made daily and warns that newer offender information may not be final. Confirm a completed release through the dated state file, VINE, and releasing facility.
Robertson County Recent Release Limits
The BCRJ site links a current-inmate portal. No official local 24-hour, 72-hour, historical, or released-person view was found. No official mobile jail app was linked. Do not substitute a similarly named Tennessee app or a Kansas release page for Kentucky records.
The official source can be reviewed in this captured image.

The “Current Inmates” label defines its function. When a person disappears, use the Released Last 24 Hours fallback chain rather than treating the screen as an archive.
Robertson KDOC Daily Release Files
Kentucky’s official Daily Releases archive supplies a date-led path for state-managed custody. The PDFs list KDOC number, last, first and middle name, release type, released-from facility, and highest felony class. That structure is more useful than a current roster when the question starts with a date rather than a name.
The release type should be quoted exactly. “Discharged - Minimum Expiration” indicates a different outcome from “Mandatory Reentry Supervision - In State” or “Shock Probation Began - In State.” The latter two can place a person outside secure custody while supervision or a court order continues. A BCRJ location can appear when a state inmate is physically held in a county-jail bed.
This state archive is not a Robertson County bond-out list. Someone booked on a local charge and released before a KDOC commitment may never appear there. Use the archive only for state-managed cases, match the KDOC number, and compare the record with KOOL and VINE.
Robertson Release Supervision Status
Probation is court-ordered community supervision, often instead of or after jail. Parole is conditional release from a state sentence before final discharge. Shock probation returns a qualifying sentenced person to court-ordered supervision. Mandatory reentry supervision is another state-controlled community status. Physical freedom from a cell does not make these records an unconditional discharge.
Robertson County is assigned to KDOC Probation and Parole District 14, with the relevant satellite in Cynthiana. Verify through the court order, KOOL status, Parole Board record where applicable, and the official District 14 routing information. An absconded label means the person is alleged to have left supervision without authorization, not that supervision ended.
Robertson County Release Resources
KDOC publishes a District 14 resource manual with a Robertson-specific section. It lists purpose-neutral legal and community contacts such as the public defender, Legal Aid of the Bluegrass, and Robertson County Family Resource Center. These contacts can help someone navigate local services or legal questions after release.
They are not inmate locators and do not confirm custody status. Use BCRJ, the court, VINE, KOOL, or the relevant federal system for release verification.
Robertson VINE Release Verification
Kentucky VINE covers local jails and adult correctional facilities. Search by partial name or jail/DOC identifier, compare the matching record, and inspect custody status. State guidance says a not-in-custody result includes a release date, while a confined result supplies the current institution contact.
One person can have both a local-jail and KDOC entry. KDOC advises checking and registering on both. This is especially important in Robertson County, where local booking occurs at a regional host jail and state custody may follow.
Verify Robertson VINE Alerts
KDOC documented false release alerts caused by a vendor issue on February 3, 2026 and later posted corrected information. That recent event shows why an automated alert must be checked against the jail, KOOL or Daily Releases, and the court record.
VINE is much stronger than mere roster absence because it carries a released status and date. Yet it depends on transmitted data. A notification also does not prove that no other agency holds the person.
Robertson Federal Release Searches
The BOP Inmate Locator covers many federal sentenced records from 1982 forward and can preserve a release date with a “RELEASED” result. It does not establish freedom from state, local, immigration, or supervision control. The official interface below shows the federal released-person route.

USMS handles federal pretrial and court-ordered custody and often uses state, local, or private beds. It has no comparable public historical release locator. ICE’s online locator covers current detention and, according to ICE guidance, releases from ICE custody within the prior 60 days. A jail handoff to either authority is a transfer.
Robertson Release Search by System
Choose the source that matches the custody type and time frame. Current rosters and release records answer different questions.
| System | Current custody | Release evidence |
|---|---|---|
| BCRJ | Current Inmates portal | Release portion and processed-out record |
| Robertson court | Custody or bond orders | Release, dismissal, probation, or sentence order |
| KDOC | KOOL incarcerated status | KOOL status, Daily Releases, supervision record |
| VINE | Confined status and facility | Not-in-custody status and released date |
| BOP | Federal institution result | Released label and date for covered records |
| ICE | Current detainee result | Limited recent ICE release coverage |
Robertson County Release Facilities
Robertson release research begins with the system that actually held the person. The local jailer, host regional jail, state corrections network, and federal agencies have different records and different meanings for release.
- Bourbon County Regional Jail is the practical adult booking and detention destination; community exits and transfers should be documented in its inmate file.
- Robertson County Jailer’s Office can help with local administration or transport questions but is not a historical release database.
- Kentucky Department of Corrections covers state sentences served in institutions or contract county-jail beds and preserves state release and supervision records.
- Federal Bureau of Prisons Facilities handle federal sentenced custody; the BOP locator retains release results for many covered records.
- U.S. Marshals Service Prisoner System covers federal pretrial and court custody, often through local or private beds.
- ICE Custody / Online Detainee Locator System is separate civil immigration custody with limited recent-release locator coverage.
Robertson’s elected jailer is listed at 26 Court Street in Mount Olivet, while BCRJ operates at 101 Legion Drive in Paris. Those addresses describe separate roles. The existence of the local elected office does not prove that a person was confined or released at the courthouse address.
Which Robertson Jail Released Them?
A searcher who types “Robertson County Jail” may find generic directory pages that attach a jail label to the county courthouse. The official evidence requires a three-part map: elected Robertson County Jailer Tim Wright, operating Bourbon County Regional Jail, and the Robertson Circuit Court Clerk for the originating criminal case.
Start with BCRJ when an adult Robertson arrest is involved. Ask whether the person is still present or was processed out, and request the destination if the name vanished. Then check the Robertson docket for the legal order. If the release record names KDOC, another jail, USMS, or ICE, continue in that receiving system. This method prevents a transfer from being mislabeled as freedom.
The jailer’s office remains relevant when transport arrangements or a mistaken facility assumption must be resolved. It should not be described as a public online roster or release archive because the reviewed sources do not establish either function.
BCRJ holds state, county, and city inmates and performs classification and work-release functions for appropriate Class D or county inmates. That mixed population makes the destination field essential. Two names can leave the same portal on the same day but follow wholly different paths. One person may enter the community on bond, while another moves into KDOC placement or another agency’s custody.
When the facility assumption is wrong, correct it before requesting records. Give the office the person’s identity, approximate booking date, arresting jurisdiction, and known court case. That focused information helps confirm which custodian holds the operational release record.
